To be honest, I was surprised about the overall scale. Comic-book villans is a good analogy. Anybody electing those people has to lobotomize his brain or worse. Where is Morgan Freeman ?

Yep, that's a general problem with bureaucracies. It starts quite promising but after a while it's turning really bad. No control, no accountability etc.
